Daruma is the thread brand of Yokota Co., Ltd., an Osaka company founded in 1901 by Chozaemon Yokota. Its sashiko range includes a thin 4-strand and a thicker 6-strand 100% cotton sashiko thread made in Japan, plus a cotton kogin thread. The company also makes hand-sewing and machine threads, knitting yarns and craft supplies.
